
Margaret Flinter is the Vice President and Clinical Director of the Community Health Center, Inc. She remains clinically active as an advanced practice nurse/ family nurse practitioner and currently serves as President of the Connecticut Nurses Association.
Margaret earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Connecticut, her Master's Degree from Yale University, and is currently a candidate for the doctoral degree at the University of Connecticut. She was the recipient of a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship from 2002-2005.
Following her graduate training at Yale University, Margaret joined the Community Health Center in 1980 as a National Health Service Corps Scholar and CHC's first nurse practitioner. Since 1987 she has held both clinical and administrative leadership roles in the organization, and co-piloted its expansion from a storefront clinic to its current statewide enterprise of primary care organizations in ten cities and towns.
In 2005, she recently established the Weitzman Center for Innovation in Community Health and Primary care as the "research and development" arm of CHC and serves as its first Director. Among her current areas of innovation, research and development are the implementation and evaluation of electronic health records in community health centers, the development of formal residency programs in FQHCs, and national business models for pharmacy and laboratory services for underserved populations.
Margaret is a native of Waterbury, Ct. and except for brief stints in Washington, DC and Georgia, has made Connecticut her home; she currently lives in Higganum with her family.
For the past 14 years Donna has been the Director of the Family Practice & Counseling Network in Philadelphia, PA. The Family Practice & Counseling Network consists of four primary care centers serving public housing communities and vulnerable families, serving over 5000 people with a budget of $4 million. Previously, Donna was a Nurse Practitioner with the Philadelphia Health Associates.
Donna has served on the faculty of the Institute for Health Improvement, Boston, MA and on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA. She holds a BA in Nursing from Villanova University and an MS in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) from the University of Pennsylvania. She has recently completed the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship Program.
Donna has authored numerous publications and has made numerous presentations on health care issues related to Community Health Centers. She is currently collaborating on a textbook on Management and Leadership issues in Community Health Centers.
Mike is a CPA and Partner in the accounting firm of BKD, LLP (Springfield, MO office). He has devoted his professional career to serving community health centers across the country and serves as BKD's Center of Excellence Coordinator of services for CHCs.
BKD Health Care Group works with approximately 100 community health centers nationwide to help improve their financial health. They are active in the National Association of Community Health Centers (NAHC) and consult with regional and state primary care associations, which in turn help provide support for community health centers.

.Marilyn is the CEO of SMBF, LLC Healthcare Consulting of Overland Park, KS. Her practice is focused on healthcare management & human resource consulting. Her areas of expertise include organizational analysis, compensation analysis & design, reward/recognition programs, Magnet-readiness assessments; job performance systems, human resource policy/practice assessment, management training/seminars, satisfaction surveys, workflow analysis, focus groups, & labor relations advice. She has been in this position since 1998.
Prior to her current position, Marilyn was a Vice President for Management Science Associates, Inc. where she specialized in employee and labor relations. She has held CNO positions at several hospitals and was the Associate Director of Nursing at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City for several years.
In addition to her human resource and health care experience, she has been on the adjunct graduate faculty of several universities, including Avila, Webster and UMKC where she has taught several health care courses.
She holds a PhD in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing, both from the University of Kansas. She is also pursuing an MBA from KU as well.
Karla is the principal of Creative Business Solutions, Inc, a consulting company supporting health centers and primary care associations in strategic planning and facilitation, strategic advocacy development, board training, program development, and limited grant writing. She also serves as a member of the health care consultant team sponsored by the Peruvian American Medical Society charged with developing a health care cooperative in the Peruvian jungle. Ms. Finnell has a specialist understanding of program development and the financing of health care delivery systems for underserved populations. She is also a seasoned advocate. Ms. Finnell holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a Masters in Public Health with an emphasis on Health Policy and Management. She graduated with honors completing a master’s thesis on “The Soviet Health Care System, Epidemiological Trends, and the Determinants of the Decline in Life Expectancy."
Ms. Finnell's professional experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the Kansas Association for the Medically Underserved and Deputy Director of the New Mexico Primary Care Association. She is also a Peace Corps alumnus, having volunteered in Uzbekistan, where she specialized in developing culturally appropriate primary care services. Before beginning her career in the health center program, Ms. Finnell practiced law for more than twelve years.
Debra is a Manager with the Coker Group's Technology division, and has been working in health care for 24 years. A Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist and experienced Nurse Practitioner, she spent much of her career in nursing before moving into management, and has dedicated years to health care-related academic pursuits.
As a manager with the Coker Group, Ms. McGrath primarily focuses on clinical information technology, federally qualified and community health centers, nurse practitioner practice, patient data collection, warehousing and reporting, handheld and wireless technologies.
Most recently she served as the Director of Primary Care Services at Eleventh Street Family Health Services of Drexel University and Information Technology Project Director for The Family Practice and Counseling Network where she is implementing and overseeing EPM/EMR deployment. She has also been an Assistant Professor of Nursing and an Associate Director of the Nursing Institute of Healthcare Informatics at Drexel University.
As a lifelong academic, Ms. McGrath has taught courses, given numerous presentations, and performed extensive research on nursing and health care issues and management.
Ms. McGrath obtained a B.S.N. from West Chester University and an M.S.N. in Perinatal Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Also, she received a post-masters certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner through Wilmington College. She is Board Certified in Family Practice through the American Nursing Credentialing Center.
Ms. McGrath is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Information Science and Technology at Drexel University.
